BMW 5W30. Castrol Edge Sport 0W40 is highly recommended. I’ve used German Castrol 0w-30 in m54 and recently n54 powered Bmw’s with good results. LL-01 approved, a good fit for a direct injected engine as well, less blow by as a group iv oil.
