How do I turn on push start?
Push and hold the engine start button until the engine starts or shuts off.
- Remember Key Fob. Make sure the key fob is inside the vehicle with you.
- Step on Brake. Step on and hold the brake.
- Push and Hold the Engine’s Start/Stop Button. Push and hold the engine start button until the engine starts or shuts off.
Is keyless start the same as remote start?
A remote starter equipped with keyless entry will allow you to unlock the vehicle without having to shut down the car.
The push button start system is good if you prefer added security and the convenience of a keyless system, so long as you understand the risks, ensure you have the key on your person when you leave, and know how to use the manual system should there be any malfunction.
How long will a keyless car run without the key?
It will not lock by itself if you exit the car and walk away. HOWEVER, if you unlock the car and don’t enter it(open a door), it will relock in about 30 seconds. That’s the only thing it does automatically.
What happens if you drive away without your key fob?
You‘ll get warning messages and chimes that the car key isn’t present. What does keyless start mean?

What happens when push start doesn’t work?
If you are confident that your smart key fob is inside the vehicle and has enough juice, but your push button start still isn’t working, it could be because you weren’t pressing the brake pedal or were pressing it too gently. Make sure your foot is firmly pressing the brake pedal and try again.
